UPCOMING EVENTS

Based on community feedback collected over the past year, our plan has been updated to reflect the community's vision and preferences for the future. Prior to adoption, the plan has to go through a review process with the Atlanta Regional Commission and Georgia Department of Community Affairs. The Brookhaven Planning Commission and the Mayor and City Council will vote on transmitting the plan for regional and state review at the following Public Hearings:

Planning Commission Public Hearing

7:00 pm

Brookhaven City Hall

The public hearing will take place during the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting.

City Council Public Hearing

Tuesday, May 28

6:30 pm

Brookhaven City Hall

4362 Peachtree Rd

The public hearing will take place during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.

The planning team encourages the public to provide feedback ideally by April 30 in advance of the May 1 Planning Commission Public Hearing, but comments will be accepted until the May 28 Public Hearing before Mayor & City Council. Visit the Make Your Mark page to learn how to provide feedback.

STEERING COMMITTEE

A Steering Committee consisting of Brookhaven leaders is guiding the plan update.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROCESS

Throughout the plan update, the planning team is holding both in-person and virtual forums to engage with the Brookhaven community including residents, City leadership, businesses, organizations, employees, neighborhoods, industry representatives, and others. Engagement opportunities will be fun and interactive, including community workshops, surveys, and more. A steering committee representing various community voices is helping guide the process. These engagement opportunities will provide deeper insight into community priorities, perspectives, and concerns.

The project team is committed to creating an accessible and engaging planning process to ensure all of the different voices of Brookhaven have a chance to be heard.
